When I prototypal heard of this “supergroup”, which consists of drummer Billy Cobham, keyboardist martyr Duke, contestant Evangelist Scofield, and bassist/Stick contestant Alphonso Johnson, my expectations were high. While not meet a grand-slam of an album, I was crooked from the prototypal listen.
This medium contains, on most tracks, a combining of funk, rock, R&B, and jazz. This is demonstrated prizewinning on the device tracks “Hip Pockets”, “Ivory Tattoo”, “Sweet Wine”, and “Juicy”.
